Here in After Effects, we can select the rounded rectangle tool and draw out a rectangle. You can easily go into the shape and change the roundness to smooth out the edges.
Now, we can select the pen tool and draw a thin triangle to highlight the direction of the text message.
Now, feel free to type out your text anyway you see fit. You may need to increase the size of the box to fix multiple lines of text.
Once your design is ready to go, create a null object and parent all your layers to it. Then move your anchor point and animate the scale to animate in your text message.
Now you can create a series of messages here in After Effects.
