Looking to use the classic file dialogs in the latest versions of Microsoft Office? In this video, we'll walk you through the steps to bring back that nostalgic experience.
With newer Office versions, the familiar file dialog has been replaced with a cloud storage suggestion when saving files. To save in a specific folder, you need to navigate through the "Save As" and "Browse" options, which can be inconvenient.
If you're like me and prefer organizing your files in traditional folder structures rather than simply tossing them into the cloud, you'll appreciate the ability to set the location manually.
Luckily, this option is still available in the current Office suite. In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of accessing this feature in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Look for the "Do not show backstage when opening or saving files using keyboard shortcuts" setting under the Save options.
Once you enable this setting, you'll enjoy the classic dialog when opening and saving files. So let's get started and bring back that familiar file-saving experience!
