Replacing plate light bulbs is very easy to this vehicles. Open the liftgate and then pop out the plate bulb assembly using a flat screwdriver or anything similar. There will be a small opening on the side of the housing where you can pry it. Once out turn the socket counter clockwise and remove it from the housing. Now pull the burnt bulb straight out, clean the socket and install new bulb. Prior to putting everything together it is a good idea to turn on the lights to make sure new light bulb actually works.
