Pres.-elect Yoon to meet Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss energy, construction and infrastructure

South Korean President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol will meet this afternoon with the ambassadors of six Arab nations that are part of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Yoon's spokesperson Kim Eun-hye said he will meet the ambassadors of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE which together account for more than half of the South Korea's oil imports.
In the meeting, they will seek ways to cooperate on energy, construction and infrastructure... amid rising uncertainty in the energy market.
On Sunday, President-elect Yoon will visit Jeju Island to commemorate the April 3rd Incident an anti-communist suppression campaign carried out by the authorities on the island.
Yoon had promised a visit to mark the date... during his election campaign.
