Enjoying an amazing sunset at West End in New Orleans. The skeletal remains of a once popular part of New Orleans eateries and night life came to an end after hurricanes and restaurant fire ended an era of great food and libations on the water. I remember the Bounty and Fitzgeralds as the place for amazing seafood. Boiled Blue crabs on a table with newspaper laid out and Miller beer abundance. Of course I was too young to drink Miller beer from a pony bottle but watched my mom enjoying a night out with friends. Today, it's a temporary sanctuary for Pelicans, Bald Eagles, Comorrants, Seagulls and every other wading, predatorial birds of Louisiana. I still hear my moms laughter as I was taking photos and later droning this day...
