Hey everybody, and welcome back to another episode. I can't really call this a 7 or 13 Minute AE Tutorial because it's a big one... we're gonna be going for about 15-16 minutes this time around. I tried to cut this episode back, but felt it was more important to give you a tutorial that you could reasonably digest. So, while you WILL be learning tips, tricks, and shortcuts with no BS, just AE, this is one of the few episodes that will exceed our normal time frame. Somehow, I think you'll be cool with it once you see what we'll be learning and creating.

For the past several episodes, we've gone through a lot of process tutorials. Topics like how pickwhip layers and properties, how to control the color of your text, how to use essential graphics for After Effects and Premiere, and several others. Even that media carousel we did a few episodes ago was really more about expressions and how to mathematically create something that can be altered. So, I figured it's time that we have a little fun and get creative.

For this episode, we're going to create this epic space scene. If you watch my tutorials, you know that even if you don't have an immediate need to create something like this, I'm definitely going to be showing you some tricks that you can use in other projects. We'll go over a few of the less-used effects, like CC Vector Blur, Turbulent Displace, Fractal Noise, CC Starburst, Lens Flare, and CC Sphere. We'll also use what we've learned in previous tutorials, like pickwhipping properties and adding math to expressions in order to get the look that we want. Finally, we'll add some finishing touches, like vignettes, blurs, and color correction, to the scene to give it a polished look.

I hope this helped you out. Please comment, like, share, and subscribe. Click the bell so you're notified every time I upload a new video. Tell your friends, colleagues, and co-workers about my channel so they can hone their motion graphics skills, too. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this episode and what you learned from it.

And sign up for my Udemy course, "The Power of Shape Layers." It's a comprehensive course that covers literally every aspect of shapes layers. And it's guaranteed to make you a shape layer superstar.

Thanks for watching, everybody. And I'll see you next time.
