Have you ever wondered how 3D modelers create detailed roofs or flooring textures? Modeling and placing each individual roof tile or floorboard would be immensely time-consuming — instead, they use a built-in Maya plug-in called MASH. In this lesson, AnimSchool instructor Koji Tsukamoto takes us through the basics of MASH. In his demo, he uses MASH to tile an entire rooftop with only four simple tiles.
