In his latest SpectraLayers 10 demo, Simon Michael looks at cleaning up a drum recording by debleeding tom microphones. In this example the tom microphones have picked up a loud cymbal bleed. Rather than using gates, automation or cutting the audio into little pieces to remove the unwanted sound, with just a few clicks Simon uses the unmix drums algorithm to preserve the tom tracks but remove the unwanted cymbal.
