Shooting Eggs at 50mph Out of a Cannon!
Made an awesome PVC pipe cannon that shoots boiled eggs for all those leftover Easter eggs! The combustion chamber is a 20" long section of 4' PVC pipe, with a 4-2' reducer and 5' of 2" PVC for the barrel. We drilled two screws into the combustion chamber for the spark generator to connect to and ignite the fuel inside. The three "flux capacitor" screws were drilled at the bottom of the barrel to keep the egg from going into the combustion chamber when loading it. To compensate for extra space around the egg in the barrel we wrapped the egg in a paper towel. To launch it all you have to do is load the egg, spray hairspray or other fuel into the combustion chamber, and ignite the spark generator!!
