Measuring a Toilet Seat
Toilet seats come in 2 main sizes, round and elongated. Measure from the holes in the toilet bowl for the seat to the front of the bowl. If the measurement is about 16 1/2 inches, you need a round toilet seat. If the measurement is about 18 1/2 inches you need an elongated seat.
