Finally, NBA center Jason Collins, who mostly played for the New Jersey Nets, now the Brooklyn Nets, has retired after 13 seasons in the league.
Collins won′t be remembered for his impact on the court as much as for being the first openly gay athlete to play in one of the major professional sports in North America.
The 35-year-old announced his sexuality in May of 2013 and played out his final season with the Nets from February this year.
That′s all I have for now. Your weather′s up next. Have a wonderful evening.
