Additional juicy bite for you: This whole project (shot in 4k with text effects, fusion, transitions etc etc) on a 4k timeline, rendered in H.256 in 4k took just 9 minutes on the laptop.
All the tests shown were ran and recorded in real time on the Gigabyte Aero 15 YA using Blackmagic Design Davinci Resolve Studio 16. The project files were then exported and imported onto my Desktop PC and rendered identically using the GPU as the Encoder.
Both Laptop & Desktop were running the latest NVIDIA Studio Drivers.
Render Cache was set to 'None' and no proxies were used.
I didn't test any giant 8k files as it's unrealistic for the 'average' user (and I don't have a RED camera!) plus they use huge amounts of RAM and I didn't want the additional RAM of the laptop to become a determining factor of the tests. The idea was to compare the GPU's primarily. This why I used short 1080p and 4k clips.
