"If you are debating on whether or not to take a Gap Year, Green River College is definitely a great place to go!"
Suzanne Jonkers is from the Netherlands. She chose to do a Gap Year because she wasn't sure where she wanted to study after secondary school and she knew that in America she could take many different classes. She chose Green River College (GRC) because it seemed like a very welcoming place. In addition, GRC is smaller which made it easier to make friends and get more personal attention. After her three quarters at Green River College, she realized that she wanted to be an elementary school teacher.
The biggest highlight was that she joined the Track and Field Team. She also got involved in clubs and got a job on campus. Her biggest advice is to get involved on campus. There is a lot going on outside of classes.
