Pioneer's new AVH X2800BS multi media radio unboxing
Previously only available on the NEX line, the AVH-X2800BS features the responsive, powerful and intuitive NEX user interface that is easy to use and highly customizable. It features a new clear resistive touchscreen that provides brighter, more vibrant colors and increased touch sensitivity, making it more responsive than traditional resistive touch panels.
From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and voice recognition, Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVH-X2800BS with Bluetooth also includes better call quality reception using the new Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Nearly doubling the bandwidth of the frequency helps bring call quality similar to FM reception.
Other features include the ability to browse music libraries on smartphones wirelessly and Bluetooth Dual Device Connection for full-time connection of two smartphone devices at the same time. Now calls can be picked up by either of the paired phones, eliminating the need to pair and unpair devices.
With built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, the AVH-X2800BS provides the ability to utilize the voice recognition engine that is part of the operating system on a user’s smartphone. This feature is compatible with iOS devices that have voice recognition capability.
Users with an iPhone® 4s or newer can take advantage of Siri® Eyes Free functionality with a touch of a button. When activated, Siri voice prompts play through the vehicle’s speakers and the user’s commands and questions are received and transmitted to the receiver using the external microphone. Siri Eyes Free provides access to many iPhone functions such as music selection, making phone calls and listening to text messages, calendar information, and reminders.
With Spotify being a dedicated A/V source on the AVH-X2800BS, you now have the ability to control content from the Spotify app on iPhone and Android devices. You can play, pause and skip tracks, browse playlists, albums and radio stations on the go using the Pioneer controls. If you are a Spotify premium user (requires a monthly paid subscription), you can enjoy ad-free, high quality music even when there is no internet connection.
The AVH-X2800BS offers FLAC file playback capability at up to 48 kHz/24 bit high resolution CD-quality audio playback. It is also loaded with new audio settings to enhance your music listening experience including a 13-band EQ with slope adjustments, time alignment, two-way network, auto EQ, Pioneer’s proprietary Sound Retriever AIR, and high voltage preouts.
Now using component video playback, the video quality of DVD playback is improved.
Select among five colors (blue/red/amber/green/violet) for the display and 112 different colors to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting. Also choose from several background images to suit your mood.
