Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Genesis is a summary of the journey, actions taken and decisions made along the first instalment of the Mass Effect trilogy. It is delivered in a bold Visual Novel style format, using hand-drawn art and voice over provided by Shepard(s) themselves (will always be Shepard, either male or female).
ME:Genesis gets triggered at the start of ME2, if it's decided to progress the storyline while using the same character you created in ME1. Importing your existing Shepard into ME2, implies that the character will retain the same gender, class and background attributes.
All relevant actions, which will affect events in ME2 (inc. romance), are listed after the end of your Genesis chapter.
