Hello there and welcome to the YouTube
channel of my band, Phantom Busker. I'm Dave, the creator of this band. I write all the songs, and I'm the guy
playing guitar and singing.
Around 20 years ago, my professional music
career kicked off with progressive metal band, Aorta. Then I decided to take my career in a completely different direction and I went into the world of world
music and jazz. Over the next 15 years, I was lucky enough
to be able to travel the world, play solo jazz guitar concerts
and collaborate with wonderful musicians.
In 2020, I released my most successful album to date,
looking for a place called Home. Despite the album being well-received
and the UK's guitarist, the magazine, including it in their top newcomer albums of 2020, the world went on hold and my life as a touring jazz
guitarist came to an end.
Throughout the lockdown, I kept myself
busy by putting together a home studio. During this time is when I also did
my first recordings for Phantom Busker. But my need to get out there and play live
never really left me. And once things opened up again, I joined folk rock band Harmony
Glen and went touring with those guys.
Fast-forward to 2022, and I had the opportunity to play at my first every arena shows
and this really inspired me to start taking my own rock project, Phantom Busker more seriously. I found out the same year
that I was going to become a dad, and that helped make up my mind
that I was going to drop all other projects and focus
only on Phantom Busker.
I have big plans for this project,
