What are your tips for making better promo (commercial) videos?

I recently was hired to create a promotional video for a photographer here in Southern California. The goal was a short 1-2 minute video showcasing the photographer's family portrait shoots, showing her working with a family. The experience helped me reflect on strategies that I used to improve the video I produced. Tips such as incorporating camera movement, getting great audio, really showcasing the subject, and more all combine to bring an amazing video together. Watch for more tricks and tips!
