Gather Your Equipment in Step 1
Make sure you have the following prepared before we start:
PTCL modem (based on Fiber or DSL).
A cable for Ethernet
Laptop or computer Access the modem settings in step two.
1. Use an Ethernet wire to connect your laptop or PC to the PTCL modem.
2. Launch a web browser on your computer, such as Chrome or Firefox.
3. Enter the PTCL modem's default IP address in the address bar. Typically, it is most frequently "192.168.1.1" or "192.168.10.1." Press Enter
Step 3 is to access the modem.
You'll be asked to enter a username and password in step 1. These credentials are often listed in the modem's handbook or on a sticker on the device itself. Enter your login information, then click "Login."
Configure WIFI settings in Step 4
1. Go to the "Wireless" or "WIFI" settings area after logging in.
2. If the WIFI feature isn't already enabled, turn it on.
3. Configure your WPA/WPA2 key and WIFI network name (SSID). To ensure security, pick a strong password.
4. Save your configuration.
Connect Devices (Step 5)
1. You can now connect your wireless devices, such as cellphones, tablets, laptops, and other computers, since your PTCL modem is transmitting a WIFI signal.
Congratulations! Your PTCL modem has been successfully converted to a WiFi router. Now, you may have a reliable and secure WiFi connection across your house or place of business.
