📃 Description: 📃
The Jurassic World films bring dinosaurs to life in a variety of sizes and shapes, ranging from the small scavenger to the huge giant. Compsognathus is only about the size of a chicken and stands a mere foot high at the small end of the spectrum. Even though small, these small dinosaurs are quick and hunt in packs, which makes them more of a threat than they initially appear. Velociraptors, such as Blue, are roughly the same size as a human but much more lethal—fast, smart, and able to fight together. There is Dilophosaurus, known for its frill on its neck and poisonous spittle, somewhat larger but still small among some of the more enormous carnivores.

Increasing in size, Stegosaurus and Carnotaurus begin to reign supreme. Stegosaurus, with its enormous plates and spiked tail, measures approximately 30 feet long, while Carnotaurus, with its small arms and horned head, is powerful and swift. Of the genetically enhanced dinosaurs, Scorpios Rex, an initial failed experiment, is a disturbing combination of various characteristics, sneaking through the dark at approximately 25 to 30 feet long.

Things actually get really massive with the real top predators. Tyrannosaurus rex, the most recognizable dinosaur there is, is a whopping 13 feet tall and 43 feet long. But even GVP T. rex isn't the largest carnivore. Giganotosaurus, the new guy in Jurassic World Dominion, is just a hair bigger, making it one of the scariest hunters. And then there's Indominus rex, a monstrous hybrid at 50 feet in length, meant to be larger, more powerful, and more intelligent than any other hunter.

On the side of the gentle giant is Brachiosaurus, which stands above all ground dinosaurs at an incredible 40 feet tall. But the true king of size in Jurassic World isn’t a land animal at all—Mosasaurus, the enormous sea-dwelling predator, dominates the ocean at nearly 100 feet long, large enough to take down even the biggest dinosaurs with ease. Whether small and fast or ridiculously huge, every dinosaur in Jurassic World has its own method of survival, demonstrating that size is not everything in the ancient world.
