This guide fully encompasses the vast ecosystem of Buffs and Debuffs present within Destiny 2 and breaks them down into an easy-to-understand format! In Destiny 2 it's best to think of Buffs and Debuffs as split into 4 distinct categories - 1) Empowering Buffs, 2) Global Debuffs, 3) Weapon surges and 4) Unique Buffs. Empowering Buffs are your typical Well of Radiances, Banner Shields and Bubbles, and Debuffs I'm sure you're familiar with are Tether or Tractor Cannon. Weapon Surges of course affect weapons only, and Unique Buffs are sort of "wildcard" buffs which stack with everything and even themselves! It can be tricky to know how all of these things come together, especially if you're wanting to be optimal for damage, so I hope this guide can help you understand this side of the game better.
