Loot boxes are once again in the news, and I feel the need to address this topic again. Even though evidence has come to light that would support the argument loot boxes and randomized loot generation in gaming has an addictive effect on people. Loot boxes are clearly gambling and clearly not something that belongs in games. But AAA gaming companies don't really care so long as the money is flowing in.
