LG Electronics posts all-time high sales of US$ 15 bil. in Q3 2022
LG전자, 3분기 매출 21조로 역대 최대…전장 '훨훨'·TV 주춤
Revenues at LG Electronics rose to an all-time high in the third quarter... of 21 trillion Korean won, or at the current rate, almost 15 billion U.S. dollars.
This is an increase of 14 percent from the same quarter last year, driven by strong sales of premium home appliances.
Meanwhile, operating profit increased by 25 percent on-year to 746 billion won, or around 525 million dollars.
But after taking into account the cost of last year's recall of electric vehicles from General Motors, for which LG supplies the battery module,... operating profit was actually down.
And with the global economic slowdown, there was also weak demand for TVs, whose sales fell 11 percent on year.
