Using generative AI like Midjourney to create trees or other foilage for Unreal Engine 🌲
Before you roast me in the commets 😅:
1. I know, that the material setup can be improved by generating a normal map and using subsurface scattering. If you have the time and patience to explain it in the comments or a link to a tutorial, feel free to share it :)
2. Please don't tell me the title is clickbait because I didn't create a real 3D model of the trees. Using billboards as trees is a very old but still very common way to populate large scale environments 😃
What are your thoughts on this? Do you use AI in your creative process? And if so, how do you feel about it? 🤨
