I love the Oculus Quest 2, it's a fantastic native VR headset that has made VR more accessible for a wide audience BUT it's not perfect, there are many ways to improve the Quest 2 that would lead to an incredible Oculus Quest 3 headset! The future of VR & the future of VR headsets looks bright right now & if companies like Oculus can capitalise on the success of the Quest 2 but then also take the time to learn exactly how to improve Oculus Quest 2 headsets then we should expect some fantastic things when the Oculus Quest 3 eventually rolls around (because it's pretty much inevitable right now!). These are my own personal top ten ways to improve the quest 2 & my ultimate Oculus Quest 3 wishlist!
I'm sure everyon with a Quest 2 headset has thought about ways to improve Quest 2, which upgrades for Quest 3 they might want & ultimately which Quest 3 features they would like to see when that headset is revealed. Perhaps it's a VR FOV increase, maybe you want a boost in resolution or processing power, perhaps you just want something simple like a few different colour options. These ten things are my own Oculus Quest 3 features / Oculus Quest 3 upgrades wishlist so please comment with what you would like to see from the new headset when it's announced. I'm sure you'll have many more ideas for fantastic upgrades that will push forward the future of VR & the future of VR headsets in general.
As a huge fan of VR I'm always thinking about how to make VR better & wondering about the best VR features & if they could be better in anyway. The Quest 2 has been a hugely popular VR headset so it seems like a certainty at this point that we'll see an Oculus Quest 3. Let's just hope the devs look at tangible ways to improve the Oculus Quest platform that will give us a truly impressive Oculus Quest 3 headset.
