Prosecutors summon two high-level Samsung executives over power abuse scandal

The independent counsel will summon two high-level executives from Samsung Group in a couple of hours from now.
The counsel says they plan to investigate Jang Choong-gi , the head of Samsung's Future Strategy Office and its deputy head, Choi Ji-sung as witnesses,... but remain open to the possibility of changing their status to suspects.
Samsung's Future Strategy Office is suspected of financially backing President Park's close friend, Choi Soon-sil.
The counsel will look into whether Samsung's donations to foundations allegedly run by Choi were in return... for President Park's role in influencing the state-run National Pension Service to support the merger of two of Samsung's affiliates last year.
With the executives being called in,... speculation is mounting that the summoning of Samsung heir apparent Lee Jae-yong is imminent.
