One of the most amazing and memorable treks of Keal Adventure boys. This trek has given us lot of motivation to go for few more high altitude treks in Uttarakhand. Our next target is to complete Brahmatal Trek.

Kedarkantha Trek is a popular winter trekking destination located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. This trek is known for its stunning snow-capped mountain views, charming villages, and dense forests.

The trek begins from a small village called Sankri, and takes you through beautiful oak and pine forests, small streams, and snow-covered meadows. The highlight of the trek is the Kedarkantha peak, which stands tall at an altitude of 12,500 feet and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak.

The trek is usually completed in 4-5 days and covers a total distance of around 22 km. The best time to go on the Kedarkantha trek is from December to April, when the entire region is covered in snow, offering a magical winter wonderland experience.

During the trek, you will come across a variety of flora and fauna, including oak, rhododendron, and pine trees, as well as a variety of bird species. The trail is well marked and the terrain is relatively easy, making it suitable for novice trekkers.

The trek also offers a unique opportunity to explore the culture and lifestyle of the local people, who are known for their warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. You will get a chance to interact with the locals and learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life.

Overall, the Kedarkantha trek is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Himalayas and is looking for a relatively easy trek that offers stunning views of the mountains and snow-covered landscapes.
