The Reason We Came to This Mexican Town! 🇲🇽
Atlixco, Mexico is home to the nations most active volcano as well as some of the very best sun dried beef.
We kicked off the day climbing to the highest point in town for a view over the whole of Atlixco city and the massive volcano in the distance.
After soaking in the beauty of this region of Mexico we headed into town and tried some unique flavoured nieves, lots of strange mezcal and we even got ourselves a red wine & sorbet float.
While sitting in Atlixco central park a bloke came by selling fried grasshoppers which always hit the spot.
Now the reason we came to this Mexican town! For the cecina market.
We headed inside and were overwhelmed by all the ladies selling their sun dried beef.
Eventually we chose our stall and enjoyed a feast of incredible fresh grilled cecina.
It's worth coming to Atlixco purely for this! 🇲🇽
