This song "Sparley" is derived from the famous Pujnjabi Mahiye- " Bari than charhya" of the legendary Tasawwur Khanum and covered, over the years, by many prominet singers both from Pakistan and India.Since the structure (number of syllable, beat and rhythem) of these "Mahiye" is the same as Pashto Tappey, I found it adaptable to Pashto. Rubaee lines have been selected from Hamza Baba ghazal and two filler lines fromDr. Sahib Shah Sabir. We have taken great care to synchronize Pashto with Punjabi so that no discrete shifts take place. My co- singer, Shanze, in her first studio recording has performed wonderfully well and I am satisfied with my own contribution too.
