My son and I updated his 2016 Mazda 3 to have CarPlay capabilities. It works for android auto also according to the seller. This worked out great and there are no dangling wires. It looks and works like OEM. It is a wired CarPlay, so it charges your phone too. Removing dash is a little challenge, but follow my instructions and it should be ok. Some Mazda's have the device in the rear of center console, but the concept is the same. Works with Mazdas 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 and the Fiat 124
