Werebears are the most well-known benevolent lycanthropes, woodland protectors able to retain their humanoid mind while taking the form of a huge bear.
Werebears are solitary individualists, rugged folk who enjoy the solitude of the deep forest. They have something of a sense of community but are very unlikely to seek the company of others, including their own kind, unless some reason or urge compels them.
