A very fast and short video on how to pose a pregnant mum, in my studio in Rochedale South Brisbane.
With the ankles together, lift the leg closest to the light off the ground, your back hill can touch your other leg.
Hands can be placed on the belly, around or underneath the belly,. making sure you leave a little space in between the arms and the the body to give more shape and create triangle, that will outline to the baby bump and leave space for any adjustments in photoshop.
Stand up tall with shoulders back to prevent slouching, and pulling the spine up....somehow feeling like you have a string attached from the spine towards the ceiling.
When lifting the leg closer to the light and bending it toward the other leg make sure you tell the mum to shift her weight to the back leg and to push her hips towards the back. Doing this you will create an hourglass look or S shape.
Placement of the hands can be on the lower back, side, over the head, on top of belly underneath the belly.
As for angles make sure you rotate your model towards left, right, towards the light, away from the light or even with the light behind.
You can get different frames, from pullbacks to close-ups, standing, sitting, on the back.
