Issues in and Resources for Planning and Implementing a Cost Analysis
Cost experts from the Cost Analysis in Practice (CAP) Project will provide a brief overview of cost analysis and share common challenges experienced by IES-funded researchers who are conducting cost analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses. Topics will include designing cost analyses as part of an IES proposal, strategies for collecting data, and ways to disseminate and use cost analysis findings. Presenters will describe a variety of new tools and resources that they have developed over the past 20 months to facilitate cost analysis, including a demonstration of how to use CAPCAT 1.2, an Excel template to estimate the costs of an educational program.
