How to Use the Pen Tool in Adobe Illustrator CC 2019
We use the pen tool to draw a straight line as well as to draw a shape. This Pen tool is located on the left-hand side in adobe illustrator workspace. For example, I’m going to draw a line and triangular shape. Go to the pen tool and click on it. Then begin by clicking from point A to point B, make sure to press Esc or Enter to stop the path. We called this an open path.
To draw the shape, again go to the pen tool, click on it. Then begin by clicking from point A, B, C and back to point A. This time we do not need to press Esc nor Enter because we draw a closed path.
