When you install VMware Tools on a virtual machine, that enables you to drag and drop files and folders from your host computer to your guest VM. What happens is that these files are temporarily copied to your VMwareDnD folder and then moved to the location where you meant to copy them to. If things works as they are supposed to, the files in this VMwareDnD folder are then deleted.

Sometimes a copy will fail or appear to not finish and even if it does finish, you might have leftover files and folders in your VMwareDnD folder which you can then delete to free up space on your VM.

Here is the location of that file. Just replace USERNAME with the one logged into the VM with.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware-USERNAME\VMwareDnD
