Run the Android OS as a Virtual Machine on VMware Workstation
If you have an Android based smartphone, you most likely prefer Googles smartphone operating system over Apple's. But if you want to play around with the Android OS on a different device or maybe test out some apps or security settings, you can run the Android operating system as a virtual machine using VMware Workstation. All you need to do is download the Lineage Android VMDK disk file and you can then create VM and attach it to have it run as a virtual machine. You will need to sign in with your Google account to do things such as use the Play Store to download apps. Even though I gave the VM 4GB of RAM, it appears that it only used 2GB so you might want to stick with that.
