Note: As of June 2019/ July 2019, the Wyze Cam integrates with Google Assistant. However, as of August 2020, you have to buy a Camp Plus subscription for $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year to get person detection. Also, the Arlo Pro 2 now works with Apple HomeKit. Nest has changed its cloud storage pricing. Now, 30 days costs $6 a month or $60 a year and 60 days costs $12 a month or $120 a year. In this video, I go over the best cameras of 2019, specifically the #NestCamIndoor, the #LogitechCircle2, the #TendSecureLynx, the #AmazonCloudCam, the #NetatmoWelcome, the #CanaryFlex, the #CanaryAllInOne, the #ArloPro2, and lastly the #WyzeCam. I’m looking for cameras with 1080p HD video display, fields of view at 120 degrees or above, and ideally the ability to zoom in optically for some great detail. As far as the audio goes, I prefer two-way audio, which allows the user to speak to the person they’re recording, and for night vision, I prefer infrared LED. Next, I’m looking for cameras with both cloud and local storage, so you can backup your footage in two ways.

Obviously, I would like my cameras to be integrated with smart home platforms, ideally Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, the two most popular. I like cameras with person detection, which leads to stronger, more specific notifications, and extra points if they have facial recognition. Finally, I’m looking for cameras that are easy to set up and that give you the most bang for your buck.
