"Coming together for a day of service, our faculty, staff, and students showcased the power of community action. We partnered with 9 organizations across New York City and had over 130 volunteers. Volunteers made a tangible difference - they packed boxes of food, served lunch in soup kitchens, delivered meals to elderly New Yorkers, readied materials for new immigrants, and much more. We heard from countless participants that it was a meaningful experience and our goal is to host this event annually," shared Stephanie Grilo, founding director of MOSAIC and assistant professor of Population and Family Health.
