Ingredients:
For Chicken Marination:
Chicken boneless : 500 grams
Cornflour : 5 Tablespoons
Salt : 1 ½ teaspoons
Red chill powder : 2 teaspoons
Turmeric powder : ½ teaspoon
Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
Curd : 2 tablespoons
Black pepper powder : ½ teaspoon
Egg- 1
Ajinomoto: 1/4th teaspoon
To prepare Gravy:
Cumin seeds: 1 ½ teaspoons
Ajinomoto : ½ teaspoon
Green chillies slit : 4
Curry leaves : half bunch
Red chilli sauce : 2 ½ teaspoons
Red Chilli Powder : 1 teaspoon
Salt : ½ teaspoon
Ginger diced : 1 tablespoon
Garlic cloves diced : 8
Water : ¼ th cup
Procedure:
1.In an empty bowl, add boneless, medium sized chicken pieces, 2 teaspoons red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 ½ teaspoon salt, one tablespoon ginger garlic paste, ½ teaspoon black pepper powder, 2 tablespoons curd, 5 tablespoons cornflour , one egg and 1/4th teaspoon of ajinomoto. Mix well and keep the chicken pieces aside for marination for about half an hour.
2.After half an hour, add oil for frying in a frying pan. When the oil is hot, lower these marinated chicken pieces into the frying pan. Fry on both sides till they turn brown, for approximately 10 to 12 minutes on medium flame. Keep these fried chicken pieces aside.
3.Take out the excess oil from the pan and leave only 4 tablespoons of oil in the pan. Add 1 ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds, let them splutter and add 1 ½ tablespoon diced ginger, 8 cloves of garlic (diced), one cup of curry leaves, 6 green chillies (de seeded, slit and cut into halves), add 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon salt, 1/4th teaspoon ajinomoto, 2 ½ teaspoons of red chilli sauce, 1/4th teaspoon of red colour, half cup of water. Add fried chicken pieces, mix well for 2 minutes.
Chicken 65 is ready.
