Releasing Zoo-bred wētāpunga to offshore islands, celebrating the life of beloved Asian elephant Kashin and helping to produce the award-winning TV series ‘The Zoo’ (that aired from 1999 – 2012) – these are just a few of the heartfelt stories our communications manager Jane Healy has been proud to share.
In the latest episode of our 100th anniversary series, Jane looks back on her 20+ years at Auckland Zoo to share her memories and experiences, as well as her love of the Zoo whānau and our collective mahi for wildlife.
