Setting up page layout and configuring the phonetic keyboard in InPage can greatly enhance your experience when working with Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, and other languages. Here's a guide on how to do it:
Setting Page Layout in InPage:
1.Open InPage: Launch the InPage application on your computer.
2.Create or Open a Document: Start a new document or open an existing one where you want to set up the page layout.
3.Access Page Setup: In the toolbar at the top of the window, click on the "Page" menu.
4.Select Page Setup: From the dropdown menu, choose "Page Setup" or "Document Setup." This will open the Page Setup dialog box.
5.Adjust Page Size: In the Page Setup dialog box, you can adjust various parameters such as page size, margins, orientation (portrait or landscape), and column layout according to your requirements. Enter the desired values or choose from the preset options provided.
6.Set Text Direction: If you're working with languages that are written from right to left (e.g., Urdu, Arabic), you can select the appropriate text direction option in the Page Setup dialog box.
7.Apply Changes: Once you've configured the page layout settings to your liking, click "OK" to apply the changes and close the Page Setup dialog box.
8.Page Layout is Set: Your document will now reflect the page layout settings you've specified, providing you with a suitable canvas for your content.
Configuring Phonetic Keyboard in InPage:
Open InPage:
Access Keyboard Settings: In the toolbar at the top of the window, click on the "Language" menu.
Select Keyboard Setup: From the dropdown menu, choose "Keyboard Setup" or "Input Method Setup." This will open the Keyboard Setup dialog box.
Choose Phonetic Keyboard: In the Keyboard Setup dialog box, you'll see a list of available keyboard layouts. Look for the option that corresponds to the phonetic keyboard layout you want to use (e.g., "Urdu Phonetic," "Pashto Phonetic").
Enable Phonetic Input: Select the phonetic keyboard layout from the list, and if necessary, check the box to enable phonetic input.
Apply Changes: Once you've selected the phonetic keyboard layout, click "OK" to apply the changes and close the Keyboard Setup dialog box.
Start Typing: You can now start typing using the phonetic keyboard layout you've configured. The keyboard layout will map phonetic sounds to the corresponding Urdu, Arabic, or Pashto characters as you type, making it easier to input text in these languages.
