6 Basic & Useful Linux Networking Commands
If you're new to Linux this video will help explain some useful networking commands while using Linux. These commands can enable you to quickly troubleshoot different connection issues.
hostname - Finding host/domain name and IP address
ping - Test network connection
ifconfig - Getting network configuration
netstat - Network connections, routing tables, interface statistics
nslookup - Query DNS lookup name
traceroute - Routing steps that packets take to get to network host
