Compound Sediment Boundary Conditions in HEC-RAS (New in Version 6.5)
Rating curves can be excellent boundary conditions for suspended and wash load but modelers rarely have data for bed load rating curves. Alternately, equilibrium load can estimate bed load and even some bed material load in the absence of data, but performs very poorly with finer grain classes and wash load. So modelers would often like to use a rating curve for some grain classes and equilibrium for others. Version 6.5 of HEC RAS makes this option available. This video describes how.
