Timeline frame rate and clip frame rate.
How to create a smooth SLOW MOTION checking project settings, timeline frame rate and matching clips' frame rate to that of the timeline.
Shoot video in higher frame rate than your video project (tutorial video 50 fps).
Set timeline to 24 or 25 fps, depending on what your camera normally shoots with (tutorial video 25 fps).
In MEDIA POOL, right click on your slow-motion clip, choose ATTRIBUTES and set it to your timeline's frame rate (tutorial video 25 fps).
Now your 50 fps clip plays in 50 % speed (slow motion). If you want this clip to play normal speed you need to go to INSPECTOR and change speed to 200 % (50 fps) then it will play video in normal speed.
