UN SILENCE SI BRUYANT:
Through this documentary, Emmanuelle Béart aims to lift the veil on incest. Coming out of her silence, the actress, accompanied by director Anastasia Mikova, confronts her reality alongside others’ experiences. The film uses both first-person narration and an ensemble approach to provide a powerful platform for survivors to challenge the insidious shame arising from incest. By addressing the laws and social taboos in a country where a child is sexually victimized every three minutes, the film is a poignant call to action.
