Part 2 of how BAD LUCK can actually make you LUCKY! I am lucky to have been born handicap. I was born a couple months premature and ended up with what’s called recurring club foot.
Ive spent most of my life in extreme pain, and in some sort of a cast, brace or fixator. I have had more surgeries than I can count. I had every excuse not to work on the farm, not to stand all day cutting meat at the butcher shop, no to participate in gym, not to run the mile, not to play sports, not to go on the school camp trips and ski trips but I never let it stop me!
I played just about every sport you can think of in between surgeries even when the pain got so bad I could hardly walk after a day of being active on my foot. Even to this day which it’s more painful than ever I still walk on the beach with my wife, play on the playground with my nephews, stand all day at a trade show or business conference.
My disability turned me into a person that doesn’t make excuses, that doesn’t have a poor me mentality, and that doesn’t let anything stand in my way of what I want to do, be or achieve! It also made me realize I’m lucky cuz it could be so much worse, I could have no feet at all! I am lucky to have been born with a disability, it helped me excel in every aspect of my life
