Annotations on Heatmaps | ComplexHeatMap tutorial
Yes, that's my judging face since I relate adding annotation as putting judgement on the graphics. Jokes asides, ComplexHeatmap have make it really easy to multiple types of extra plot beside the heatmaps ( I actually omitted many more since the video is already 26mins).
This makes it really useful to present many different type of data (numerical + density plot) on the same plot, or in the case of oncoplot, the type of mutation and the frequency/gender/survival rate on the same plot.
