Published in 1988, Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness was a vivid and disturbing exploration of the entities and powers of the immaterium and warp.
Focusing on the powers of Khorne and Slannesh, this lavishly illustrated book gave players the rules and background to bring full blooded chaos to their games of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Roleplay and the recently released Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Fantasy gaming horror at it's best, Slaves to Darkness was perhaps the high water mark in Games Workshop's forays into more adult orientated content, a style that would become less prevalent in the years to come.
