If you have an application that’s like that, where you have an open inlet or an open outlet while the other side is ducted, it’s going to sound somewhat like that if the fan is this large. If you don’t put a silencer on that open side, and you have people milling around that area you’re going to be too loud. You need to put a silencer on it.
