Sea Shipping to Amazon FBA & Freight Forwarding - Selling on Amazon UK
In this video I show the Amazon FBA sea shipping quotes I have received from freight forwarders for importing a product from China to the UK for selling on Amazon FBA UK.
I received quotes from a number of different freight forwarders and share the information I have learned about importing sea shipments including discussing FOB (Freight On Board / Free On Board) and EXW (Ex Works).
I'll also show you how to calculate your landed unit cost and go through the exact costs and profit margins for the product I am launching.
Here are my sea shipping tips for importing to sell on Amazon FBA UK:
• Always use a freight forwarder - they will almost certainly be cheaper than the supplier arranging delivery
• Check your freight forwarder is familiar with preparing shipments for Amazon. Amazon need the shipment palletized and wrapped in a certain way and the supplier may not send it like this.
• Check they have pre-arranged delivery slots with Amazon or can they arrange them as Amazon will not accept deliveries unless they have been booked in
• ALWAYS insure your shipment!
