Do not use transparency in Illustrator
Transparency does not make accurate halftones 👇🏼
When designing in illustrator for t-shirt designs, always use spot colors as a rule. These spot colors represent inks that you have in your shop. Using halftones to get different shading is certainly ok, but use the color menu to create these shades. When it’s time to output into halftones, they will print correctly as the defined percentage.
